We are a traveling family~ we love to see new things, taste new foods, and visit as many places as we can BUT sometimes it is nice to kick back on vacation at one place…….and not leave! That place for us is Nickelodeon Suites Resort in sunny Orlando, FL~ offering something for everyone in the family and activities to last us all week! No need to tire myself out on every vacation jumping from theme park to theme park……..we spent 4 days relaxing poolside with some of our favorite characters and the kids made memories we will never forget!
The Nickelodeon Suites resort offers every family a full suite with 1,2,or 3 rooms all with a kitchenette and living room! The children’s room feature twins or bunks and of course wall to wall of their favorite characters!
Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious, and the living room was the perfect space tp relax after hours in the pool! The kitchenette has a microwave, small table, a sink, and a small fridge~ just enough to easily cook up some meals! We brought along sandwich things, microwaveable rice, cereal, milk, and lots of fruits and veggies! We were happy to have some small meals and snacks in the room relaxing, and of course enjoyed some meals with our favorite characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Be sure to check out our review of the Pizzarama with the TMNT! )!
You can also grab some food in the Nick Hotel Mall~ YES!! They have a mall complete with stores, food options (Subway and a pizza parlor!), and for all you pre 90’s Moms….an arcade! I found the Starbucks to be well……completely necessary, while the boys enjoyed the computer zone and the girls begged to visit the spa.
You can also catch Dora, Diego, Fanboy, and many other characters in the mall for a meet and greet! The Mall is a great place to hang out if rains hits ……..bummer thing to think about but hey it’s Florida and rain only lasts about 20 minutes here! The kids spent every other minute of the day and much into the night at the water park. When you see the pictures, you will understand why!
We are talking about 400 GALLONS of slime being dumped onto your children everyday! Mass sliming happens everyday poolside at 4:45! Take a look at the countdown and the MASS SLIMING!
After being slimed, kids can run off and have the time of their life on the water slides~ who am I kidding I had the time of my life! Nick Hotel has 2 pools; the Lagoon and the Oasis both equally awesome I am sure! * The Oasis was closed during our stay so sadly we have no pictures from there.
There a few great things to know before hitting the parks
1: All toddlers need swim diapers and they are available for purchase at guest services.
2: Life vests and towels are included in your stay and are available at the waterpark entrance.
3: Nick Hotel prides themselves on safety so even though you will find lifeguards on every slide and all throughout the park, kids 12 and under must have adult with them while in waterpark.
4: Nick Hotel slides have a minimum height of 40 inches and they are strict. No lapriders.
The Lagoon features a 4 story water tower with 7 slides, climbing nets, bridges, interactive water toys, and of course that 400 galloon water dump tank! Even though little ones can’t slide, parents can accompany them on the water tower to spray slide goers. One of our favorite memories came from one rainy night where we were the only brave ones out on the slides- all I remember is smiles and giggles.
The Lagoon pool has cabanas around the pool, 2 hot tubs including a family spa (featured in our “5 things to do with toddlers at the Nick Hotel“, a basketball court and of course the toddler splash park (also featured in our above post). But the BEST part of making the Nick Hotel your next vacation destination is the memories you will make with your little ones.
